About Us

1965
Bryan Medical Group is organized by eight local physicians, located in one wing of the local hospital. Very quickly, it outgrows the available space.
1970
Bryan Medical Group moves across the street to brand new 15,000-square foot building at 442 West High Street, Bryan.
1985
Bryan Medical Group opens the Edgerton Medical Center at 324 West Vine Street, and the Stryker Medical Center at 104 East Lynn Street.
1988
A new building is constructed and opened in Stryker at 109 North Defiance Street.
1993
The Williams County Family Medical Center (now Montpelier Medical Center), 924 Snyder Avenue, Montpelier, with four physicians, and West Unity Medical Clinic, 111 West Jackson Street, West Unity, with one physician, join the organization.
1997
Group consists of 31 full-time physicians, 23 consulting physicians and 160 employees at five locations.
2003
Two more locations - Edon Medical Center, 110 East Indiana Street, and Sherwood, 09742 US Highway 127 - join the group in 2003.
2005
Archbold Medical Group, 121 Westfield Drive (in part of the CHWC hospital building) joins, including a medical office in Napoleon, located at 1600 East Riverview Avenue in the Henry County Hospital.

The organization changes its name to Midwest Community Health Associates, to better reflect the accomplishments, goals, and scope of the group.

2006
A new 29,000-square-foot addition is constructed at the Bryan location, bringing the facility to a total size of 89,000 square feet. The new addition includes a state-of-the-art physical therapy and aquatic rehabilitation area, a brightly lit, family-friendly oncology infusion center, and specialty equipment including a nuclear camera.
2007
MCHA opens new offices in the Fulton County Health Center, 725 South Shoop Avenue, Wauseon.
2008
Wauseon Clinic, 495 South Shoop Avenue, joins the organization, adding three new physicians. At the end of the year, the Pioneer and West Unity offices close permanently.
2009
Anthony Uribes, MD, family medicine physician in Wauseon, joins MCHA.

Presently, Midwest Community Health Center consists of 46 physicians providing 17 specialties in 10 locations, with a support staff of 250 employees. In addition, more than 20 consulting physicians provide specialty services to patients.
